In the Beginning ... Nisreen's Story

In 2009 when I was 30 with a daughter not yet a year old my journey with cancer began, and it still continues, disappearing and returning. I still continue to receive treatments year after year. From the beginning I decided that I would not give in and continue my life with a lot of hope and faith and search for any way that might calm my body and soul. I wanted to meet people who had
been through what I was going through and learn what awaits me. I searched all over the country for support of any kind and whenever I found it I felt there was something missing. Over time I realized that at times of stress when the mind is so tired, a person needs someone who will speak his mother tongue and know the society and culture from which he comes. I also found it difficult and exhausting to run from place to place all over the country in order to get the various services. That's when I started dreaming of establishing a place in the north close to nature, far from the medical wards, where a person can visit, enjoy a cup of coffee and a chat, receive a variety of support services under one roof and disconnect for a moment from the treatments and pain. Establishing ADMA Center is my way to fulfill that dream.

The Purpose of The Association and Ways of Implementation

The goal of the association is to empower and support in every way people who are coping or who have dealt with difficult diseases in the past as well as supporting their families by establishing an ADMA Center in the North.

ADMA Center

ADMA center will be established in the north in an inviting and supportive environment in nature far from hospitals, with a pleasant and encouraging atmosphere where one can meet and converse with others who are going through or who have gone through a similar process. The center will provide a variety of support activities including alternative therapies, support groups, lectures, workshops, a beauty salon, and a health food restaurant that the members and recoveries will operate. The ADMA Center will be the first center in the Arab society adapted to the unique needs of the community linguistically and culturally.

ADMA Center at this Time

At this point we are holding our various meetings and activities at the beautiful Monastery of Don Guanella in Nazareth.
